St. Stephen Lutheran Church Worship Services

Throughout the covid-19 pandemic, I’ve been tasked with producing weekly online worship services for St. Stephen. In order to keep the congregation safe, we chose to pre-record the services with nobody in attendance. My role, aside from recording all sound and video, was to edit the service together to have a fluid, “live” feel to it when live-streamed on Youtube. Since we knew we were in it for the long run, we could focus our energy on creating the ideal “online worship” experience. In mid-2021, we began to invite congregants back into the building but continued to offer a live-streamed option, which continues to be popular and well-watched.

The service on the left was pre-recorded, the one on the right was live. Both come with unique challenges and opportunities. I’ve produced over one hundred services at St. Stephen.
