Iceland-scapes

Natural and Directorial

The most otherworldly place on earth is also the world’s most earthly place. Iceland is one of a kind. Its beauty is undeniable, for what is and isn’t there. Waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers, and cliffs dominate the landscape. Trees are sparse, leaving an unobstructed view for miles in each direction. From the mossy, rocky ground below your feet to the rugged mountain peaks rising suddenly from the plains, it could be no other place. The lack of civilization is emblematic of our weaknesses–our inability to survive there along with the surreal awestruck feeling one gets driving the ring road for the first time (that could also be jetlag.) This gallery is designed to show how Iceland is so far removed from the reality most of us experience on Earth, yet, is one of the few pure representations left on our planet that showcase its natural, unexploited beauty.
